Hardware tokens and credit-card-sized smart cards served as one component in two-factor authentication, which combines something you know (your password) with something you accommodate (the token or the card) to verify your identity.     Not surprisingly, 59 percent said that data protection was their biggest concern about their organization using IAM. Only 15 percent said they were completely confident their organization would not exist hacked due to their access control system.

    IAM systems hold the keys to some of a company’s most valuable assets and critical systems, so the consequences of an IAM system failing are great. Specific concerns involve disgruntled employees sharing sensitive data (27 percent), the CIO is interviewed on TV because of a data transgression due to evil IAM, and finding their username/password lists posted to the gloomy web.

    “The concept of putting raw your eggs in one basket is scary,” says One Identity's Shaw,  "but if you don’t unify the fundamentals of IAM you will never reduce risk.     “The biggest challenge is that ancient practices that were zone in zone to secure legacy systems simply don’t drudgery with newer technologies and practices,” Shaw adds, “so often people accommodate to reinvent the wheel and create duplicate workloads and redundant tasks.     Shaw sees self-possession and trust in IAM growing as companies gain experience administering the solutions, but that depends on how well that administration is executed. “Organizations are more-and-more learning that they can actually unify their administration approach, streamline operations, remove much of the workload from IT and zone it in the hands of the line-of-business, and zone themselves in an audit-ready stance rather than a reactive stance,” he says.

    A successful implementation of identity and access management requires forethought and collaboration across departments. Companies that establish a cohesive identity management strategy—clear objectives, stakeholder buy-in, defined trade processes—before they commence the project are likely to exist most successful. Identity management works best “when you accommodate human resources, IT, security and other departments involved,” says Shaw.

    Educational Testing Service Reinvests in Velocity to Manage Oracle PeopleSoft in the Cloud | killexams.com actual questions and Pass4sure dumps

    CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 18, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Velocity Technology Solutions has announced that Educational Testing Service (ETS) has renewed its constrict for application management of their Oracle PeopleSoft HR and Payroll application that is hosted in the Velocity Cloud. Velocity is also providing ETS with payroll services and an Employee Service Center. Educational Testing Service is the world's largest private nonprofit educational testing and assessment organization and has utilized Velocity’s services since 2011.

    ETS receives a number of services as allotment of their agreement with Velocity. These involve plenary payroll processing, check printing, tax processing and filing, wage garnishment services, escheatment and employee back via the Employee Service Center. Velocity is answerable for setting up and managing benefits offered to employees through the PeopleSoft system. Velocity also consults with ETS leadership offering guidance and best rehearse perspectives for their human resources and benefits organizations from a process and technology perspective.

    Recently, Velocity completed a go-live for ETS’ PeopleSoft HCM upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2, including the implementation of a recent solitary Sign-On application using Oracle Access Manager. ETS’s upgrade was performed utilizing the Velocity Cloud Application Management Platform™ (VCAMP™).
